Meet the therapist

Heather Tom M.S. CCC-SLP is a neurodiversity affirming speech-language pathologist who is passionate about helping people communicate effectively. She serves children of all ages but has spent the majority of her clinical practice working with the early intervention pediatric population (ages birth- 3 years old). Heather views the people she works with through a holistic lens and takes all aspects of their lives into account. Each person has individual needs, and their treatment plan should be individualized.

Heather has the unique experience of being both a patient and a clinician. She received speech and language therapy from the ages of 2-8 years old and has experienced the benefits of it firsthand. Because of this, she excels at building meaningful relationships rooted in trust with her clients and their families.

In her free time Heather enjoys spending time with her family and friends, practicing pilates, getting crafty and taking care of her plants. She loves trying new recipes and exploring different restaurants. Heather tries to spend as much time outdoors as possible, her favorite place to visit is Lake Tahoe.
